Antique / Vintage Tin Canada Goose Decoy
Large approximately 25" long when assembled
3 pieces Head , Body and Float Board
Light weight. The body is tin but not sure what the covering on the head and front is.
Numerous signs of age and use
Purchased from a very knowledgeable decoy person who tells me that it came from the estate of
Roland Michener who was the Governor General of Canada between 1967 and 1974.
Michener was an avid duck and goose hunter from his youth but it is not known if he made this decoy himself
when he was young or acquired it later in life.
Very interesting and unique decoy !
